Almost Heaven Plantation | May 2026 Newsletter

Spring has arrived at Almost Heaven Plantation, bringing with it a season of preparation, growth, and anticipation for the year ahead. While another successful shooting season is now behind us, work across the plantation continues each day as we prepare for an exciting 2026–2027 season.

From new improvements throughout the property and expanded hunting opportunities to upcoming events and dining experiences, we are excited about all that lies ahead in the months. Most importantly, we remain grateful for the friendships, traditions, and memorable experiences that continue to make Almost Heaven Plantation such a special place for our members and guests.

European Pheasant Tower Shoots Return This Fall

We are excited to officially announce the return of our European-style Pheasant Tower Shoots for the 2026 season. These private tower shoot experiences continue to grow in popularity and offer an unforgettable day of shooting, fellowship, fine dining, and Southern hospitality.

Our tower shoots feature thoughtfully positioned pegs surrounding our custom-built tower, creating fast-paced shooting opportunities ideal for corporate entertainment, client appreciation events, family groups, and sporting friends alike.

Private shoot dates are limited and are currently being reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage groups interested in securing preferred dates to contact us before the June 1st booking deadline.

Public peg shoot dates for individual shooters will be announced in early summer.

Plantation Infrastructure Improvements

Over the past several months, we have continued investing in improvements across the property to enhance the overall guest experience and long-term functionality of the plantation.

This spring, significant work has been completed on several road systems throughout the property, improving accessibility, safety, and travel efficiency during both wet and dry conditions. These upgrades will help ensure a smoother experience for guests throughout the year.

In addition, we have added an additional quail hunting course that will be utilized during the upcoming 2026–2027 season. This expansive new tract of hunting land will be a tremendous asset to the plantation, offering guests a unique style of terrain featuring gentle rolling hills, younger pine growth, and diverse natural cover. We are excited to incorporate this new course into our hunting program and look forward to sharing the experience with our guests this season.

We look forward to unveiling additional details and opening timelines in the coming months.

Almost Heaven: Table & Tradition

We are excited to introduce a new dining experience at Almost Heaven Plantation — Almost Heaven: Table & Tradition. These monthly themed dinners are designed to bring together friends, members, and guests around exceptional food, fellowship, and memorable experiences in a relaxed plantation setting.

Each evening will feature a unique theme inspired by Southern traditions, seasonal ingredients, sporting culture, and regional cuisine. From Lowcountry seafood boils and wild game dinners to steak nights, bourbon pairings, and outdoor cookouts, every gathering will offer something different while celebrating the hospitality and camaraderie that define Almost Heaven Plantation.

In addition to outstanding meals, select evenings will feature educational guest speakers covering topics related to sporting traditions, conservation, wildlife management, outdoor cooking, and the Southern sporting lifestyle. Certain dinners will also include curated “pop-up shops” featuring outdoor brands, local artisans, sporting goods, apparel, artwork, and other unique vendors for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

We look forward to sharing more details and upcoming dinner dates soon, and we hope you will join us around the table this season.
